Extraction

Butane Hash Oil

BHO (Butane Hash Oil) is a concentrated extraction of cannabis that has a THC concentration of up to 90%, making it the most potent marijuana concentrate globally. The butane separates cannabis compounds from the plant, resulting in a concentrated oil containing THC, CBD, and other chemical constituents, and leaving undesirable plant material behind.

Ethanol

Ethanol has been used as a solvent in the pharmaceutical and food-processing industries for over half a century. During the extraction process, the ethanol is washed over the raw biomass material to dissolve the desired active ingredients, particularly THC from the plant. Afterward, the ethanol is separated from the crude extract through evaporation processes. At the end of the process, we are left with pure and potent cannabis oil.

Refinement

Decarboxylation

Not every cannabinoid in a cannabis extract is immediately ready for consumption. Decarboxylation is the chemical process that uses heat to “activate” these cannabinoids. Edible products require complete decarboxylation in order to maximize the effect. Decarboxylation automatically occurs in inhalable products, but a certain amount of decarboxylation is necessary for some products to prevent unwanted crystallization and waste.

Particular Filtration

Extraction is the best way to concentrate the desired components of the cannabis plant. Some undesirable substances such as chlorophyll, lipids, and other plant particles can remain that negatively affect the taste and color of extracts. The filtration process removes these unpleasant elements and leaves a clear, amber-colored extract free of particulates. The result is a smooth taste without the bitterness associated with chlorophyll and fats.

Solvent Recovery

Solvents are an efficient mechanism to utilize in extraction, but the solvent utilized must be purged before being integrated into a consumable product. Utilizing the boiling points of different solvents, a multiple-step evaporation process ensures all solvents are removed from our extracts. It is a time-consuming task that is necessary to provide a consistently safe product.

Formulation

Cannabis is more than just THC. The combination of cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids in each product variation creates a unique effect. Most of our formulations and terpene profiles are designed to mirror popular strains, while others create effects not commonly found in today’s cannabis varieties. Our lab team consistently pursues research and development to ensure all formulations provide the desired outcome and experience our customers expect.
